What is a Food pOlicy Council?
A Food Policy Council (FPC) includes representatives and stakeholders from across the food system. The term "food system" describes all activities involved in producing, processing, transporting, storing, selling, marketing, and eating food.

The Mendocino County Food Policy Council's mission is to collaborate with farmers, food producers, institutions, businesses, and the public at large to create a sustainable local food system that reduces hunger, increases health and expands economic vitality.
